Why Palm Oil is Bad

Palm Oil Plantation taking over Rainforests
The reason why palm oil is bad is because it comes from places where animals and people live. They have to destroy the rainforest to grow the palm oil trees. Endangered animals, like the Sumatran Tiger, Sumatran Elephant and orangutans and people are losing their homes. And palm oil is not healthy for us. Look for palm oil as an ingredient on your food labels and avoid it!

  1. Why is Palm Oil bad for us? When I was in Malysia, we saw lots of palm oil plantations as we rode in from the airport. Grandma Di

  2. Palm oil is a saturated fat. That is the artery clogging, plaque forming, cholesterol promoting type of fat commonly associated with animal fats. See not even all plant-based food is healthy!
